Is your roll out a morning circus every day?
One of the many things that go into a smooth morning roll out is an organized system for materials. The goal: each crew grabs the exact things they need for the day in the morning so that they don't need to come back to the shop. Ideally in 30 minutes or less.
We've done it the hard way before at Grunder Landscaping Co. We've had a salesperson (me) walking around and pointing at what plants a crew needs to grab while the other crews wait for me to tell them what they need. We wasted time, relied on memory, and didn't have a system that scaled.
I shot a quick video to show you our plant yard and explain how we keep things organized today. Watch it here:
Using Aspire to stay organized and then laying out our plant yard to keep plants for projects together in a way they're easy to care for while they're on our lot and also easy to load up is the key. This system is one of many in place that allow our crews to roll out quickly each morning—most days the last truck is off the lot within 30 minutes of our start time.
We'll show you these systems and so much more in-person during our Grunder Landscaping Co. Field Trips. Our June and August trips both sold out, hold your spot on September 9-10, October 14-15, or December 9-10 now before those are full too!
I hope you're staying cool out there. I'll be back next week with another Great Idea!
