The Grow Group team is finishing up the final preparations for GROW! 2026 in Dallas, TX on February 10-12, 2026. I'm excited: our tour hosts, Complete Landsculpture, have done so much preparation and careful consideration as they've created the content for our tour of their facility, our breakout sessions are ready to go, and I can't wait to share it with you and see it come together!

The tour of Complete Landsculpture is going to blow you away, and I don't want to steal their thunder but there is one thing that their residential design-build sales team said in their presentation that is something I've long reminded my own sales team: speed wins. It's one of the many ways the Complete Landsculpture team gets the upper hand on the competition when meeting with homeowners in the Dallas metro area.

Often I see landscaping companies, and really all home services, struggle with this. We aren't timely with our communications, we drag our feet when following up, or we delay in sending the final invoice. All of this procrastination hurts us: a client who is ready to make a decision may find another contractor or we may not get paid as fast as we should. Focusing on speed is smart in sales, but it also applies to our administrative and our operations teams!

While Team Grow Group is in the trenches on event preparations, my Team Grunder has been in the trenches digging Dayton and Cincinnati out from under 10-16 inches of snow. Even though these snow contracts were already sold, speed wins on the follow through, too. Now that the snow event is over, we have to be timely in collecting, reviewing, and approving time so that we can bill our clients and pay our team. It's critical for cash flow, and also just the fair thing to do for everyone.

2026 - JDs in Snow

With temperatures staying low up here through the 2-week forecast, these snow piles are sticking around. The group of us attending GROW! are looking forward to being in Dallas, where the forecast for our event dates has it warm and sunny!

It's not too late to sign up to join us! We'd love to see you there, and I think you'll regret it if you miss this year's event. It truly is shaping up to be our best ever. Will I see you there?
